David Clifford is recognized as an international authority on ISO/IEC 20000, the IT Service Management standard. He has consulted, lectured and spoken internationally on the standard and on IT service management frameworks. He has been the ITSM design authority for one of the world’s largest IT programs supporting a $5.7USD billion business initiative.
He is the owner and head of consulting practice at PRO-ATTIVO (www.pro-attivo.com), a company specializing in training and consultancy around ISO/IEC 20000 and supporting frameworks such as ITIL®.
Working with the itSMF, David helped to establish the certification scheme that is used today for ISO/IEC 20000. He has also audited the Registered Certification Body auditors on behalf of the itSMF.
David has contributed to a number of publications, including authoring the new VHP itSMFI endorsed title, “Implementing ISO/IEC 20000 Certification: The Roadmap’, which is full of practical advice on the route to certification and retention.
An active member of the ITSM community, he is a Fellow of the Institute of IT Service Management (ISM® - www.IoSM.com). David represents the ISM® on the British Standards Institution committee that is contributing to development of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard shadowing the ISO/IEC Work Group 25.
David is also a key strategist and consultant to EXIN.
